You might love Facebook and think its a great place to communicate with your audience, you might find that your audience isn’t on Facebook. When you look at social media technologies and sharing sites from your own personal view and think, “This would be a great place for my company,” you need to stop and to take a step back. You should perform objective research on whether your audience is really on that platform. The Social media platform(s) your audience uses might actually surprise you. Your audience might be using an ancient, very well established forum that hasn’t updated their platform in a few years and lacks all the bells and whistles that newer platforms like Twitter and Facebook have now. People are creatures of habit. If they are comfortable and find something of value, it can be tough for them to change. “If you see the same person on multiple forums and social media sites and they are quite active in a community, you’ve likely found a major influencer…” The same holds true for marketers. You might be comfortable with a particular social media platform and, therefore, drive all your marketing efforts there. However, if your audience is on a different site, [...]

This is part 3 of the series “How to Build an Online Business” – if you have not read this series from the start, click here to go to the first part. In Part 2, we discussed how to find a product to sell online. In this part, we need to look at potential online selling platforms. You have three choices when deciding on potential online selling platforms: 1 – Creating your own online platform: This is not as hard as you might think, you don’t have to be tech savvy to create your own website (with that professional look). Top web entrepreneurs use a free software called “WordPress” to create their websites. The technical details on how to do this, can be found on the tutorial “How to Create a WordPress Website” – it will show you how to setup a website (fastest and utmost professional looking + free), create your own graphics and even how to customize it perfectly for selling products online. 2 – Using a ready-made online selling platform: This method may not apply to every market, but I have chosen to mention it as it can serve as a powerful tool in many cases. Using online selling platforms like [...]

This is part 2 of the series “How to Build an Online Business“. In the first part, we discussed how important it is to have the correct frame of mind when building an online business – and that desiring money is only going to separate you from success. In this part I will cover ways to finding what products or services to sell online. The focus will be on selling digital products from eBooks, videos, music, tutorial guides and any services that you can provide and deliver online. I have purposely limited this to digital products. This allows you to take the full benefit of the internet and sell worldwide – earning a passive income. Best of all, ANYONE can do it. Why worry about sourcing and shipping products when you can provide automated value with digital products? The most important thing about building an online business (and finding what products to sell) is that you base it around your passion – OR pick something and force yourself to love it… Passion is important because there will be times when your not getting any results – most people usually give up at this point; but if you have passion for what you [...]

Building an online business is one of the most exciting things you can do online. The aim of this series is to guide you towards the right path to running your own successful online business. It is important to point out that there is no “one” system to having a successful online business, but knowing the framework of several can greatly help you into building your own success system – this is my reason for creating this guide. This guide will cover the essential areas in building an online business: - Frame of Mind for Business Success - What Products to Sell Online (applies even if you have a product to sell) - Building a Platform to Sell - Getting Relevant Web Traffic for your Niche The first step to build an online business, is the frame of mind you need – this is vital to your success and without it, you will fail. If you setup an online business with the goal and desire to earn money and be rich; you will never succeed. Why? Because by desiring money, you have created a separation of yourself and money – you have admitted that you are far away from money and success. [...]

This is part 2 of the series “Create a Website Using WordPress” – if you haven’t read part one click here to take you back. In this short tutorial, I will show you how to upload a WordPress theme. Take your time to find your ideal WordPress theme. The best way to do this is to download dozens of themes and try them out (some themes can be harder to use than others). Step 1 - Once your logged into your Website’s “DashBoard” – Click “Appearance” and then click “Themes” as shown in the screen shot below: Step 2 – Then select the “Install Themes” Tab that appears as shown below: Step 3 – Click “Upload” shown right under the tabs, and click “Choose File” to upload your theme; once you select it, click “install now” on the side and it will upload it for you. Step 4 – You should get a message like the one shown below – click on “Activate” and this will activate your WordPress theme (and go to your main web URL and you will find it changed). This concludes the tutorial on uploading your website theme – Coming up: I will show you some [...]

Creating a website using WordPress is one of the most powerful (and fastest) ways of creating a professional looking website that can move mountains! If your not sure what kind of results you can get with using WordPress - see websites created with wordpress for examples. Top web entrepreneurs use this to manage their website (whatever topic) and are earning a steady income. Best thing is, you DONT need any technical knowledge to do this professionally – if you can install a game on your computer, or type up and save a word document, you can do this! Step 1 - Find a reliable web hosting company – Not all have their servers fully optimized for best performance, even if they provide WordPress! Consider signing up to the Unlimited Package for £5 a year (or $8 a year) – The only host that charges yearly and offers money back + Servers are 100% optimized for WordPress websites. In our example of creating a website, we will use iClickster’s Web Hosting; which have fully optimized servers for the best performance of your WordPress site. Step 2 - Once you are logged into your hosting control panel, locate the CGI scripts and find “WordPress” within the list; as shown below (highlighted in [...]
